New Nintendo Direct Reveals Release Dates And New Games

Nintendo released some good information for fans during their Nintendo Direct today. The new model 3ds XL was confirmed to have a February 13th release. The remodeled handheld will be sporting an extra analog(c-stick), have improved 3d face tracking capabilities, and also rocks a faster processor. Pricing and color availability is also still unknown. Nintendo definitely did not disappoint with its first Direct of the year, announcing a brand new Fire Emblem game for 3ds among others. No title was given, but a gameplay trailer was shown to tide us fans over until E3. The game looks awesome. Super awesome. Can you tell I love Fire Emblem? Check out the teaser below!

Anyway, Nintendo is also re-releasing some of the best games the original Wii had to offer. Classics like Super Mario Galaxy 2, Donkey Kong Country Returns, Punch-Out,and Metroid Prime Trilogy will all be available starting this month on the Wii U eShop for a reduced price. If you haven’t gotten a chance to play these games yet, this is definitely the time. Sadly, I must admit I have yet to play Mario Galaxy 2, but Im going to take advantage of this deal while I can. Even cooler is the fact that Nintendo plans on releasing more classic Wii titles throughout the year.

Back to the handheld front,  Xenoblade Chronicles 3d is set for an April release. As for The Legend Of Zelda Majora’s Mask and Monster Hunter 4, these titles release will be revealed when the new 3ds launches next month. Talk about starting the new year right!

If these are the types of Nintendo Directs we can expect leading up to E3, I can only imagine what they are going to announce when the expo starts. I’ve said it once, and i have no problem saying it again. 2015 is going to be a great year for gamers.
