New ‘Tales of’ Game, Anime Announced

We got tons of cool news regarding the Tales of franchise, and what better time than the 20th anniversary of the franchise to make the announcements! First, Bandai Namco is releasing a new Tales of anime series set to debut in 2016. While specific details on the show are scarce, it is known that Ufotable, the Japanese animation studio who has  done the artwork for the past few Tales games, is handling the animation for the series. This is great news, as we can expect the anime to have that distinct Tales style we have become accustomed to.

Here is a quick teaser for what is being called the Tales of 20th Anniversary Animation

Also, the series is making the jump to the next generation with its next installment in the series, Tales of Berseria.

The new game is being developed for the PS3 and PS4 (no surprise there), and while we know the protagonists name  will be Velvet, there is no other info out yet for the game. Tales of Berseria will most likely ship sometime next year, but it will probably be awhile before the title sees a western release.

This next tidbit is great news for fans anticipating the PS3 release of Tales of Zestiria, Bandai Namco has announced that the game will also be getting PS4 and PC versions! Zestiria will be the first game in the franchise to be released for PC, so this is great news for fans that do their gaming on a computer.

We will make sure to keep you posted with more info on the anime, as well as Tales of Berseria as it comes available. Maybe Bandai Namco will have updates on both at Anime Expo?
