Castlevania: SOTN Out Now For Apple and Android Devices

Well I woke up to an awesome surprise this morning. Got up and checked my Facebook news feed and saw a post about one of my favorite games of all time being released for mobile device. That game is Symphony of the Night. Now this isn’t the first time a major console game has been ported to mobile, nor will it be the last. Unfortunately, when these ports do happen, the games are released with ridiculous price tags ( looking at you Square Enix). Boy was I surprised to see that SOTN was going to only set me back $2.99. A steal for game as good as this, but not only that, it actually plays pretty decent too!

Now I’ve only just started playing, I might have about an hour of playtime under my belt so far, but Im more than satisfied with the quality I’ve experienced. You’re suppose to be able to play using a Bluetooth controller as well as the on screen controls, so when I get a chance Im going to see how well it plays using a Nintendo Switch Pro controller. The on screen controls work well enough, the game can definitely be enjoyed using just that method alone, but there is a certain level of precision you just wont get with the touch screen, especially when playing a game like Castlevania.

Castlevania: Symphony of the Night quietly released for Android and iOS

This isn’t the PlayStation version of the game, but the Dracula X Chronicles version released a couple years back. Only differences I’ve noticed so far was the voice acting and the dialogue during the Rondo of blood Prologue. Call me weird but I’ve grown to love the cheesiness of the original dialogue, but I guess someone somewhere thought it needed to be changed.

Anyway, so far so good, I’m going to dive back in an spend so more time with the game, but if you were a fan of the original or just looking for a good game to play on your phone, you cant do much better than this.
